LS1 CPSF 24/7 Emergency Whatsapp group
During the second half of 2025, LS1 launched it’s monitored 24/7 Emergency group. Members update their details here and are added to the group.
This group was launched due to a couple of reasons:
- Community request: Our members indicated via a poll that they would appreciate the capability to report incidents on Whats-app;
- Incorporation of LS1 Bureau: Ls1 has been blessed with the monitoring services of a call center to assist LS1 CPSF Joint Operations Center;
- The need for real-time response to incidents;
- Opening up the behind-the-screens work of the LS1 CPSF Volunteers in order to assure the community that there is always assistance within reach; and
- Community need for statistics – now they receive incidents in real-time.
This 24/7 Emergency service to the Communities of Zwartkop, Centurion CBD and Die Hoewes up to Jean Ave is a work in progress. We are still ironing out the creases and ask the community’s patience in doing so.
In order to respond to incidents without mobilising all the Jocs, Patrollers and Cooperative services all at once, the community is asked to label their incident with one of the following categories to ensure the right team pays attention:
- Alpha (In progress)
- Beta (In Past – perps left)
- Charlie (Attempt)
- Delta (Suspicious behaviour)
